Boom Boom



What a fun day! Blake gave me my very first SHOT GUN last week and we took the kids shooting clay pigeons last Saturday! It was gorgeous weather, everyone had a wonderful time and Jaide, Derrick & Josh are terrific shots! They all hit their targets SEVERAL times! (I did too! Hooray!) It was everyone's first time shooting a shot gun (except dad of course) and we were pretty excited. Dad was WAY proud of his family. Jordyn, Brock and Maren all got to shoot as well, all though the guns will be a little bit too big for them just yet. Pretty soon though, we'll all be crack shots at this!

Culture Anyone?

My dear friend Travis Seegmiller won quite the catch when he married Lisa Hopkins a few years ago. Besides striking beauty, she's a Tony award winner for her preformance in "La Bohéme" on Broadway! She's also (in my Grandpa's words) "as pretty on the inside as she is on the outside." I got to meet her last year at our class reunion and she was incredibly kind and friendly.
Lisa and Travis are headed to Utah this weekend and Lisa will be preforming here in Davis County! I am so excited to have the opportunity listen to her preform, that I looked her up online this morning and found a recording of her voice. I began playing the recording and Maren, our little ballerina, started dancing. I caught most of her dance and decided to share it with you! (If anyone still looks at my blog anymore, that is!) And congratulations to Lisa and Travis who are expecting a baby girl soon! Hooray!

Ahh... the Hot Springs...



This place is so beautiful! The water is down right HOT, but you get used to it really quickly. The bottom of the pools are covered with wonderful, soft & smooth gravel. Between the mineral water and the fabulous foot massage, you leave the pools relaxed and feeling like a million bucks!

More Lava



Maren is terrified of swimming, mostly because she's so skinny, she freezes in and out of the pool! But the water was so warm here and she LOVED it! We even got her to let go of our necks and hit the slide- A LOT! It was great!



We expected Brock to be scared a little too, but NO WAY! He was a little fish! Takes after his dad, I guess!

Hey... No need for a coronary!

I know... I know... I need to update my blog. Seriously- Who has time to do this?
I am including our pictures from our awesome weekend to our favorite place: Lava Hot Springs! This place rocks, and we wish we could live there!

Poor Brock-asaurus! A wasp secretly crawled into his soda can and Brock tried to drink him down :( The mean old "bee" bit Brocky on the tongue! Rude! The bee was sentanced to death by spit and wadded up paper towel for his dastardly offense!



Jaide is jumping off the diving board. She didn't quite make it off the big 10 meter Olympic Diving platform... this year!



... But Derrick did! So did Dad! Whoa! It's a long way down! When I showed Brock that Derrick was jumping off, he response was to shake his head and say "ugh... wedgie!"
