Construction Junction!

We started construction on our basement last Friday and all ready it is framed, plumbed, wired and the HVAC guys have done their thing! The insulators are coming tomorrow, and sheet rocking begins on Thursday! Yippee! I love tax returns! :)

The Easter Bunny Came!

Brock is SOOO thrilled by our new bunnies! We got a (boring) white albino bunny that Jordyn has named "Fluffy" and this one, who reminds me of the Little Nutbrown Hare, the main character in my favorite book to read to my kiddo's at bed time "Guess How Much I Love You!" So, this bunny's name is "Nut!"

Who's The Fool????

I got up at FOUR A.M. to cut Starburst Candies up and shape them into peas, carrots and corn! I added my "veggies" to vanilla pudding "gravy" and chopped up dried apples and fresh banana's for "chicken" and "potatoes."

Then I made PIE CRUST and formed it over crumpled Tin foil to cook it as if it were on top of a pie. After it cooled, I assembled my "chicken-NOT-pie" and made up some cupcakes with meatloaf and colored mashed potatoes (to look like frosting)

Everything looked VERY authentic, and I was pretty excited to serve the kids my fun lunch!

They hated it! Not impressed AT ALL, Maren cried because her cupcake wasn't cake, and Jordyn later told all of our dinner guests how yucky the lunch her mom made for her was. I guess my "April Fools Day" prank back fired on me!

Don't feel too bad for me... I had a little vindication when I gave them an Oreo snack durning conference, but first scraped out the frosting and replaced it with tooth paste. HA!
