Brock's idea, PROMISE!

He wanted this dress on soooo bad,

so he could he could dance with his sisters.... (poor kid!)

But the second he got it on, he had second thoughts, realized his mistake (probably not to the extent that mom was there taking pictures and would show them off to future friends, family and posterity, but anyhoo...) and went and hid in the corner of the room!

It wasn't long until he was expressing himself quite well that he wanted this dress OFF! He hasn't asked to put a dress on since!

He still like the dress however.... Just on Maren!

Oops I did it again...

Ahhh, Disipline...

Brock HATES sitting in the corner, but he's so obedient he'll sit there (wailing the whole time, of course) until he's told he can come out! What a good boy!

So Pretty!

Early (like 5:45 a.m.) one morning, Maren got up and got dressed in her "Sweeping Booty" dress, then discovered my purse on my desk unattended and dove for my lipstick! She did herself up, then ran back to my room to show herself off. When she entered, she asked me with a HUGE smile on her face... "So Pretty?"

What do you say but "oh yeah... you're adorable!"

"P-wincess Maren's"

Ahhh Missy Missy....

She loves everything Princess, and according the Barbie movies, the princesses there can dance Ballet! So, she found Jaide's toe shoes and danced up a storm for us! She so sweet, we can't hardly stand it! Funny things she says/does lately:

*She runs though the house yelling "Superman!" (not unlike her Uncle Dan used to do!) And someone taught her about He-Man because she'll stand in the middle of the room with one arm stretched straight up and yell "I HAVE THE POWER!"

*She gets a pouty face and says "Sit in chairs, and rock-a-bye baby?" (she wants to cuddle in the rocking chair!) How can anyone resist? And she knows it too!

*While doing her hair for church one Sunday morning, I said "You are beautiful! Can you say 'Beautiful?'" She nodded and spoke proudly "Full of Bull!" (That fits too!)

*She loves green beans... whenever we DON'T have them, she pleads "I want it! The beans!"

*Last Sunday, as I was sitting in R.S., her Nursery Teacher brought her to me for a diaper change. Maren peeked her head in and loudly, though melodically, hollered "Hey Mommy!" It got a giggle from all the ladies!

*She calls her twin Brother "Brocky Boo" and when she can't find him, she can be heard calling "Brocky Boo.... Brocky Boo...."

*She loves her new Carebear, whom she has named "Magical" who has a rainbow on his/her (whatever) tummy. She's learning her colors, and pointing to that rainbow showed me "Pink, (for red) blue, and 'Low'" (for yellow!)

She's a busy girl, but she's precious, and we're so happy to have her!

A Blue, Blue, Blue Christmas

Maren and Brock hate taking naps, but with two-year-old twins, naps are very, very, very, important. They cried and cried today when we put them down, but then they were quiet, and we thought they'd gone to sleep! After a little while, we realized that it was getting late, so Blake went to check on them while I started dinner.

He suddenly hollered for me to get in there! I RAN down the hall thinking something was wrong, and yep... there was, just not what I thought! It was one of those " you can either laugh or you can cry" moments! (I chose to laugh!)

On Saturday, I had been working on a project for Christmas, and my little bottle of blue paint had disappeared! I looked everywhere for it, but didn't find it until today!

Brock & Maren took off all their clothes, stripped their beds of their blankets, and emptied the ENTIRE bottle out on the floor and did some body painting/redecorating during "nap" time!

Dinner burned, but the BLUE MAN GROUP and their room got cleaned up. (don't look too close at the carpet!)

The Northern Cox Family Christmas Party

We gathered together the week before Christmas eve at our house here in Clinton. All the relatives who now live in Northern Utah were invited (Nate, Rachel, Kristen, Dan + Kyle was up here to visit his in-laws) but due to a big snow storm, unfortunately Kyle and Kristen didn't make it.
It was our intent to continue the traditional Christmas parties we had at Grandma & Grandpa Cox's house when we we're little! We ate dinner (compliments of Nate and Terra's Ward Christmas Party leftovers hehehehe) then the kids acted out the Nativity while Blake read from the Bible! Jordyn was Mary, Joshua was Joseph, Hailee was the Baby Jesus, Brock, Maren and Taylor were the Wise Men, Derrick was a shepherd, and Jaide the Angel. It was sweet and hilarious all at the same time, as "Joseph" was embarrassed to be married to Mary, the "Wise men" kept crying, fighting and running off, and the "baby Jesus" stared bewildered at all of us, not having a clue at what was going on!

We sang Christmas Carols and watched a special movie Rachel made for us, then Lo and Behold! Santa knocked on our door, and left us our traditional "gag" gifts! LOL! We had a great time, it was so fun to be together, it really brought the Christmas Spirit!

New House!

We moved into our new house on Thursday, November 9th! It was a chaotic experience, as we we're only given one week to move! (Got the offer on Halloween Day, had to close on the 7th, and Jordyn had sugery on the 3rd! Yikes!)
Miracles happened as folks showed up out of nowhere to help us out, and for that we're sooo grateful! More drama after we moved in.... the carpet needed replacing immediately, so we didn't even get to unpack for quite awhile! Now with the new carpet & lots of buckets of paint, we have a beautiful new house, and we feel quite at home! We love the space, the yard is huge, and the neighbors are fantastic! Hooray! The greatest part is that we're nearly done unpacking and I can park in the garage!
